FLOORS

Deuteronomy 15:14

King James Version

14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock,

and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress:

of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee

thou shalt give unto him.

What does the Bible say about floors?

GOD's floor is magnificent.

Exodus 24:9-10

King James Version

9 Then went up Moses,

and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu,

and seventy of the elders of Israel:

10 And they saw the God of Israel:

and there was under his feet as it were

a paved work of a sapphire stone,

and as it were the body of heaven

in his clearness.

Man's floors are witness to GOD's power.

And man's harvest, obedience, storage, and sins.

As these verses show:

Numbers 5:17-31

King James Version

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel;

and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle

the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

18 And the priest shall set the woman before the Lord,

and uncover the woman's head,

and put the offering of memorial in her hands,

which is the jealousy offering:

and the priest shall have in his hand

the bitter water that causeth the curse:

19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath,

and say unto the woman,

If no man have lain with thee,

and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness

with another instead of thy husband,

be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

20 But if thou hast gone aside to another

instead of thy husband,

and if thou be defiled,

and some man have lain with thee

beside thine husband:

21 Then the priest shall charge the woman

with an oath of cursing,

and the priest shall say unto the woman,

The Lord make thee a curse and an oath

among thy people,

when the Lord doth make thy thigh to rot,

and thy belly to swell;

22 And this water that causeth the curse

shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell,

and thy thigh to rot:

And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book,

and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

24 And he shall cause the woman to drink

the bitter water that causeth the curse:

and the water that causeth the curse

shall enter into her, and become bitter.

25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering

out of the woman's hand,

and shall wave the offering before the Lord,

and offer it upon the altar:

26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering,

even the memorial thereof,

and burn it upon the altar,

and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27 And when he hath made her to drink the water,

then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled,

and have done trespass against her husband,

that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her,

and become bitter,

and her belly shall swell,

and her thigh shall rot:

and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean;

then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29 This is the law of jealousies,

when a wife goeth aside to another

instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him,

and he be jealous over his wife,

and shall set the woman before the Lord,

and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity,

and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

Deuteronomy 16:13-15

King James Version

13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days,

after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:

14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast,

thou, and thy son, and thy daughter,

and thy manservant, and thy maidservant,

and the Levite, the stranger,

and the fatherless, and the widow,

that are within thy gates.

15 Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast

unto the Lord thy God

in the place which the Lord shall choose:

because the Lord thy God shall bless thee

in all thine increase,

and in all the works of thine hands,

therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.

Judges 6:36-40

King James Version

36 And Gideon said unto God,

If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand,

as thou hast said,

37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor;

and if the dew be on the fleece only,

and it be dry upon all the earth beside,

then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel

by mine hand, as thou hast said.

38 And it was so:

for he rose up early on the morrow,

and thrust the fleece together,

and wringed the dew out of the fleece,

a bowl full of water.

39 And Gideon said unto God,

Let not thine anger be hot against me,

and I will speak but this once:

let me prove, I pray thee,

but this once with the fleece;

let it now be dry only upon the fleece,

and upon all the ground let there be dew.

40 And God did so that night:

for it was dry upon the fleece only,

and there was dew on all the ground.

1 Kings 6:11-16

King James Version

11 And the word of the Lord came to Solomon,

saying,

12 Concerning this house which thou art in building,

if thou wilt walk in my statutes,

and execute my judgments,

and keep all my commandments to walk in them;

then will I perform my word with thee,

which I spake unto David thy father:

13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel,

and will not forsake my people Israel.

14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.

15 And he built the walls of the house within

with boards of cedar,

both the floor of the house,

and the walls of the ceiling:

and he covered them on the inside with wood,

and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

16 And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house,

both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar:

he even built them for it within,

even for the oracle,

even for the most holy place.

Hosea 13:1-4

King James Version

13 When Ephraim spake trembling,

he exalted himself in Israel;

but when he offended in Baal, he died.

2 And now they sin more and more,

and have made them molten images of their silver,

and idols according to their own understanding,

all of it the work of the craftsmen:

they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice

kiss the calves.

3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud

and as the early dew that passeth away,

as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind

out of the floor,

and as the smoke out of the chimney.

4 Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt,

and thou shalt know no god but me:

for there is no saviour beside me.

Joel 2:23-24

King James Version

23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion,

and rejoice in the Lord your God:

for he hath given you the former rain moderately,

and he will cause to come down for you the rain,

the former rain, and the latter rain

in the first month.

24 And the floors shall be full of wheat,

and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

Luke 3:16-17

King James Version

16 John answered,

saying unto them all,

I indeed baptize you with water;

but one mightier than I cometh,

the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose:

he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost

and with fire:

17 Whose fan is in his hand,

and he will throughly purge his floor,

and will gather the wheat into his garner;

but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

Revelation 21:16

King James Version

16 And the city lieth foursquare,

and the length is as large as the breadth:

and he measured the city with the reed,

twelve thousand furlongs.

The length and the breadth and the height of it

are equal.
